Minjiang College has two majors: musicology and performance (film and television). Musicology is a "provincial major" with four training directions: musicology theory, music performance, art music management and music technology.
Vocal music course is a "provincial excellent course", and piano accompaniment is a provincial first-class undergraduate course. The vocal music teaching and research section is set up by the "school-level teaching team". Piano course is a school-level excellent course. Won the second prize of outstanding achievements in campus culture construction of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, the collaborative education project of industry and university of the Ministry of Education, and the central government supported local projects.
The College has established the Popular Music Research Center, a base of humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities in Fujian Province, and constructed a curriculum system of "music knowledge+modern information technology+marketing+cultural quality", with more than 50 faculty members.
He has won the first prize in the national college music teacher vocal competition, the gold medal in the Fujian Music and Dance Festival vocal competition, the first prize in the bel canto group, the ethnic group and the pop group of the Fujian Young Singers TV Competition, the first prize in the composition of the Fujian Art Festival, and the gold medal in the global finals (piano competition) of the American Music Open.
Cai Jikun Conservatory of Music of Minjiang University was formerly the Music Department of Minjiang University, which was established in 2005. On the basis of the establishment of the Music Department in 20 10, the Music Institute was established by absorbing the assets of the former Fujian Conservatory of Music.
To commemorate the outstanding contribution of Professor Cai Jikun, the founder of Fujian Conservatory of Music, in music education and the establishment of the college, the school-running unit was named "Cai Jikun".
