Official website showed that the education of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, the predecessor of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, established the Northeast Conservatory of Music on the basis of the Music Department of Northeast Lu Xun College of Literature and Art on 1953, and renamed it Shenyang Conservatory of Music on 1958.
