Yan Jiaxun and Zeng Guofan's letters are both loved by scholars. Why is it regarded as a model of family education?
Under the traditional feudal patriarchal clan system, China people attached great importance to family education. Family style includes supporting the family, learning and inheriting, accumulating virtue and doing good deeds, and being kind and filial.

Family style is also called family style. A successful family must have details. Yan Jiaxun is particularly rich in content and unique in opinions. It can be said to be exquisite words and classic sentences. The family style in ancient China was deeply influenced by traditional Confucianism, which can be roughly summarized as "five virtues and eight virtues": five virtues are "benevolence, courtesy, wisdom and faith" and eight virtues are "loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, righteousness and harmony".

During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Yan Zhitui, a thinker in the Northern Qi Dynasty, wrote about 40,000 words of Family Instructions for Yan, which taught children how to cultivate their self-cultivation, how to manage their families, how to deal with the world and how to learn traditional Confucianism. In order to warn children not to rely on family status, they should be arrogant and lazy. According to the bibliography in China Tongzhi, there are more than 120 family instructions published in ancient China, and "moral cultivation" is the core content of each family instruction.

Zeng Guofan's letter recorded Zeng Guofan's 30-year career in Hanyuan and Congwu from Daoguang 30 years to Tongzhi 10 in Qing Dynasty. It covers Zeng Guofan's major activities in his life 1500, as well as his ways of governing the country, managing the family and studying. There are many theories about determination in his letters from home. After making up my mind, I demand it, self-discipline. Zeng Guofan advocated frugality, hard work, good neighborliness and clear reading in managing the family. He wrote in a personal letter: "I teach children to be frugal and modest."

When a person is young, his spirit and attitude have not yet been finalized. He or she has a close relationship with others and is influenced by others. Even if you don't want to learn, it will be subtle and naturally similar. More importantly, his or her behavioral skills are easier to learn.
