Li Zongru was born in Tianjin and his ancestral home is Wujin, Jiangsu. Mr Li Zongru is good at oil painting, especially watercolor painting and gouache painting. As early as 2000, he studied under artists such as Wei Tianlin, Li Ruinian, Wu Guanzhong and Luo. His painting style is bright in color, rigorous in modeling, mature in technique and vivid in description, which combines the spirit of eastern and western painting and shows the charm of China's national customs. His works are well received by all walks of life.

Li Zongru was born in March of 194 1, and served as the director of the teaching and research section of Beijing Jingshan School, a teaching reform experimental base directly under Beijing Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China. He has written the outline and teaching materials of nine-year art experiments.

From 1974 to 1984, he taught in Tianjin Arts and Crafts School, and from 1982, he was promoted to be the director of dogma, systematically revising the teaching contents and textbooks. 1984 ——1987 served as the vice president of Tianjin Institute of Arts and Crafts, in charge of teaching. 1985 participated in the establishment of Tianjin Fine Arts Vocational College, the first adult art college in China, and organized all the teaching staff to work hard and achieved remarkable results. It has trained thousands of powerful process design talents and enjoys a high reputation in China.

1In August, 1997, he was transferred to Tianjin Institute of Education to help create an art department. In more than a year, it has begun to take shape. The College of Fine Arts Education, the College of Music Education, the College of Arts and Crafts, and the College of Juvenile Education merged with Tianjin Normal University to form the Art College as the first dean.
