Educational and scientific research institutions and universities are managed by the Ministry of Education. At present, there are basically no subordinate colleges (except the military) in our country, and the colleges affiliated to various ministries and commissions were originally managed by the Ministry of Education or local governments. The competent department of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education shall be the Department of Higher Education. Some universities managed by provinces are managed by provincial people's governments, and some are managed by provincial education departments (the specifications of people's governments are higher than those of education departments). Colleges and universities should belong to higher vocational colleges, which are basically managed by the Provincial Department of Education and the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and also accept the guidance of the resident education administrative department of colleges and universities.
