The Central District Education Bureau of Jinan City is a government department of the Central District People's Government of Jinan City. According to the Implementation Opinions of the District Party Committee and the District Government on the Institutional Reform of the People's Government of Central District of Jinan City (Zhongfa No.201015), the Education Bureau of Central District of Jinan City was established as the working department of the district government.

To undertake the responsibilities of setting up kindergartens and private ordinary junior high schools, primary schools and non-academic training schools within the jurisdiction transferred by the Municipal Education Bureau. Cancel the administrative examination and approval items that have been cancelled by the State Council, the provincial government and the municipal government. Responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of compulsory education, preschool education, vocational education, community education, ethnic education and special education in the whole region.

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for the education and teaching management of all kinds of schools and kindergartens in the whole region; Responsible for all kinds of education entrance examinations and student status management in the whole region; Organize and carry out education and teaching, teaching research, educational research and audio-visual education in the whole region; Guide the internal management system of the school and the reform of education and teaching; Guide and supervise the setting and implementation of various courses at all levels.

Overall planning the allocation of educational resources in the whole region; To formulate plans for the renovation of school buildings and the adjustment of school layout in the whole region; Responsible for the establishment of kindergartens and private junior high schools, primary schools and non-academic training schools within their respective jurisdictions; Put forward suggestions on the establishment, merger, renaming and adjustment of public primary and secondary schools in the whole region, declare and organize the implementation according to the regulations.
