Brief introduction of biological competition:
Biological competition refers to the competition activities of biological disciplines, including the National Biology League for Middle School Students (CHSBO), the National Biology Competition for Middle School Students (CNBO) and the International Biology Olympiad for Middle School Students (IBO) in China. The winner of the biology competition has rich prizes.
National Union of Biology for Middle School Students:
Since 1992, the National Biology Competition Committee for Middle School Students, which is composed of the Chinese Zoological Society and botanical society of china, has continuously organized the National Biology Competition for Middle School Students. Since 2000, the National Biology League for Middle School Students has been organized every May. The purpose of these activities is to strengthen biology teaching in middle schools and improve the level of biology teaching.
Promote biology extracurricular activities of middle school students; Popularize biological knowledge to teenagers; Promote the cultivation of middle school students' creativity, scientific thinking and problem analysis ability; Improve the life science quality of teenagers; Prepare for the international bio-Olympic competition.
Starting from 1993, on the basis of the national biological competition, China selected and trained outstanding athletes to represent China in the 13 International Bio-Olympic Competition, with 5 1 person participating students, and * * * won the gold medal 3 1 person, silver medal 19 person and bronze medal/kloc.
International competition:
The International Bio-Olympic Competition is a middle school student competition. The competition tests their ability to solve biological problems and conduct biological experiments. Besides being interested in biology, creativity, innovation and perseverance are all necessary.
The International Bio-Olympic Competition is divided into two competitions: experimental examination and theoretical examination. Generally speaking, a proposition committee is composed of professors from universities and research institutions in the host country. The International Bio-Olympic Competition focuses on the experimental skills of the participants. The experimental test and the theoretical test each account for half of the test scores.
In addition, the International Bio-Olympic Competition focuses on examining the knowledge of athletes. Although the contestants are all high school students, they have mastered the knowledge of college biology in essence. The experimental examination includes four experiments: plant physiology, morphology and anatomy, animal morphology, anatomy and systematics, microbiology and biotechnology, and genetics.
Team leaders and observers:
The national team leader participates in the jury composed of the national team leader, and decides the selection of test questions, grading standards and players' conduct. In addition to voting for the International Bio-Olympics on behalf of their respective countries, coordinate the relationship between their respective national teams. An important job is to translate test questions for students.
