Tianjin Conservatory of Music is an important higher art education institution in northern China, which trains professionals in music, dance, drama, film and television. The school is the construction unit of off-campus innovation practice base for postgraduate education in Tianjin universities and the first batch of master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council.
The school was founded on 1958. Its predecessor was 1950, the Central Conservatory of Music established in Tianjin. 1In July, 959, the Central Conservatory of Music (part of which stayed in Tianjin) was renamed Tianjin Conservatory of Music. 1973, renamed Tianjin Art Institute. 1980, with the approval of the State Council, Tianjin Conservatory of Music was officially restored and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts was established separately.
By the end of 20 13 and 12, the college had 276 full-time teachers, 53 external teachers, 52 re-employed teachers and 9 foreign teachers. Among them, there are 8 people who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council 18, 3 famous teachers in Tianjin, 6 winners of outstanding music education award in Yong Xi District, 2 candidates for "Thousand Talents Program" in Tianjin, 2 candidates for distinguished professor in Tianjin, 4 candidates for teaching team in Tianjin, and 3 first-class candidates for "13 1" innovative talent training project in Tianjin. Teachers with master's and doctoral degrees account for 63% of the total number of full-time teachers.
20/kloc-April/June official website shows that the college has 13 teaching departments, including musicology, composition, vocal music, folk music, orchestral music, piano, accordion keyboard, music education, art management, modern music, dance, drama, film and television and other 59 majors and professional directions.
