Suzhou Machinery Industry Technical School is a vocational education and training base directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, which was founded in 1994. It is one of the only two national-level welding training bases in China, the only institution in Suzhou specializing in welding technology training and consulting services, and also a provincial-level welder training and examination unit for boilers, pressure vessels and pressure pipes. The school mainly trains senior (intermediate) technicians, and also integrates junior college (intermediate) education, vocational training, skill appraisal and employment guidance.
