Anhui Business Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time college-level higher vocational college approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education in 2000. It is formed by the merger of Anhui Business College and Anhui Business Workers College and is affiliated to the Anhui Provincial Department of Education. The school is the national outstanding backbone higher vocational colleges, the first batch of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Anhui Province, the first batch of local skilled high-level university project construction units in Anhui Province, and the only higher vocational college in Anhui Province included in the first batch of comprehensive reform pilots of colleges and universities in Anhui Province. The school is located in Wuhu, a state-level open city with the reputation of "the great harbor of the Yangtze River and the backbone of Anhui". Its predecessor was Luxiang Public School in Anhui Province, which was founded in Changsha, Hunan Province, 1903. 1904, Anhui Luxiang Public School moved back to Wuhu and was renamed Anhui Public School.
