You are interested in PLC, you should not be interested in PLC, you are interested in automation. I used to think PLC was mysterious.
As long as you want to learn any PLC, you must understand that the design of primary and secondary lines is the foundation, and you can only write well if you can design your program once and for all. I quite agree that 1 layer "down to electrical, instrumentation, transmission, intermediate network, PLC, HMI, up to communication, database and technology" must be possible and accessible. Cherish every opportunity to learn and practice.
As long as you are interested, you will succeed. Calm down and learn electrical automation design.
