East China Normal University is one of the first six universities in Shanghai to take the self-study examination for higher education. East China Normal University Self-taught Examination Office was established in 1982. As the management organization of the self-taught examination in the school, the office has continuously improved its working methods, improved its work efficiency, created a fair and just examination environment for candidates, and formulated a series of examination management rules and regulations and work operation norms with our school's characteristics in more than 30 years of work practice.

The self-study examination office is good at summing up work experience and updating working methods, and the application software of self-study examination management system, which was first developed and used, has been popularized and used in the whole city. For more than 30 years, the Self-taught Examination Office has continuously created new majors for self-taught examination according to market demand. Up to now, there are 13 majors in the college.

1997 was awarded "Advanced Collective of Shanghai Higher Education Self-taught Examination"; In 2002, he won the "March 8th Red Flag Bearer Advanced Collective";

In 2007, he won the "Advanced Collective of National Higher Education Self-taught Examination".
