This school is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. This is the first instruction from Henan Province.

Xinxiang Vocational and Technical College is located in Mu Ye, near the water, and in Xinxiang National Economic and Technological Development Zone, a central city in the north of Henan Province.

The history of the school can be traced back to the "Zheng Jing Academy" founded by Li Shican, a famous Confucian scholar in Zhongzhou, on 1883.

In February 2009, Xinxiang Vocational and Technical College, the only full-time general higher vocational college in Xinxiang City, was formally established with the approval of the Henan Provincial People's Government and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record.
