National training plan for primary and secondary school teachers
The national training plan for primary and secondary school teachers is an important measure to improve the overall quality of primary and secondary school teachers, especially rural teachers, implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance on 20 10.

The "National Training Plan" launched on 20 10 includes "Demonstration Training Project for Primary and Secondary School Teachers" and "Training Project for Rural Key Teachers in the Midwest", and the central government has invested 550 million yuan to support the implementation of the "National Training Plan". Through innovative training mechanism, we will combine off-the-job training, centralized training and large-scale distance training for key teachers in rural compulsory education in the central and western regions to provide targeted professional training.

In order to implement the "National Training Plan" and ensure the training quality, the Ministry of Education organized evaluation and selection, and determined 18 institutions as the distance training institutions recommended by the Ministry of Education, including 9 universities including Peking University, Guangzhou University, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Huazhong Normal University, South China Normal University, Shaanxi Normal University and Jiangxi Normal University.
