The Department of Life Sciences includes humanities and natural sciences closely related to human life. There are three majors: preschool education, food nutrition and testing, and domestic service.

South China Women's University of Arts and Sciences established the Department of Home Economics 193 1. The Department of Foreign Languages and Trade includes four majors: Applied English, Business English, International Economy and Trade, and Business Brokerage and Agency. This department has two provincial-level excellent courses: Interpretation and Translation of Workplace English for applied English majors and International Trade Practice for international economics and trade majors, and one provincial-level excellent course: Applied English majors.

All majors in the Department of Foreign Trade strengthen the application of English in the workplace through various ways of talent training, and employ many foreign teachers to teach foreign languages all the year round, which ensures that the oral English level of the four majors in the department is among the best in similar universities in the province. At the same time, it also has 25 off-campus training bases to carry out "order-based" training with translation companies in translation countries.

The specialized courses of the four majors of Foreign Studies Department and Foreign Trade Department are all taught in English. Among them, the major of fashion design is an excellent major in higher vocational and technical education in Fujian Province and a pilot major in teaching reform in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education.
