Nanyang Kindergarten Normal School was founded in 1984, and its predecessor was Deng County Normal School. 1989 was renamed Nanyang No.4 Normal School, and/KLOC-0 was transformed into Nanyang Kindergarten Normal School with the approval of the former Henan Provincial Education Commission in July 1999.
