The core parameters of graphic tablet are mainly attention: pressure sensitivity level, resolution, reading speed and drawing area size.
Pressure sensitivity level
1. The pressure sensitivity level is the sensitivity of the pen:
There are three levels of pressure sensitivity, which are 5 12 (entry), 1024 (advanced) and 2048 (expert).
With the gradual popularization of 2048 pressure sensitivity, 1024 pressure sensitivity has a faint tendency to become an entry-level pressure sensitivity, just as 1024 pressure sensitivity gradually replaces 5 12 pressure sensitivity. With wacom adjusting the pressure sensitivity of bamboo's graphic plate to 1024, there is no graphic plate with 5 12 pressure sensitivity on the market.
Assuming that the pen strength is between 0 and 1, the pressure sensitivity of 5 12 can be divided into five parts, 1024 is ten parts, and 2048 is twenty parts. In terms of data, it is:

Test method: enlarge the canvas to see if the line thickness is symmetrical. The more uniform the change, the higher the pressure sensitivity. Please note that some software does not support 2048 pressure sensitivity.

2. Resolution can be understood as pixels of a digital camera in a sense:
Common resolutions are 2540, 3048, 4000 and 5080. The higher the resolution, the higher the painting accuracy of the board. When the precision of the early graphic tablet is not enough, the cursor may keep shaking because of the lack of precision. This problem rarely occurs.
Principle:
Assuming that the actual use area of the graphic flat is composed of countless tiny squares, then the resolution refers to the number of squares per unit area. The more squares there are, the more data each stroke can read. For the same stroke, the higher the resolution, the greater the information and the more flexible the lines.
Test method: The lines are composed of tiny squares. Enlarge the canvas to 800%, and then see if the squares that make up the lines are even. The more uniform, the higher the resolution.
reading speed/rate/velocity
3. The reading speed is the sensing speed:
Common reading speeds: 100, 133, 150, 200, 220, the reading speed of graphic tablet is generally above 133;
Due to the limitation of arm speed, the influence of reading speed on drawing is not obvious. At present, the minimum reading speed of products is 133, and the maximum reading speed is 230 points. Generally, there is no obvious delay above 100, and there is basically no delay at 200.
Test method: walk back and forth quickly on the board to see if there is any delay in disconnection or the like.
Size of plate
4. In the tablet, the size of the tablet is a very important parameter.
Common cardboard sizes: 4 * 6/4 * 5 (about half of A5), 5 * 8/6 * 8 (about half of A4 paper), 9* 12(A4 paper size), 12* 19,
(unit: inch, 1 inch = 2.54cm)
Note: The bigger the board, the better. Too small a board is difficult to carry out fine drawing operation, and it is easy to strain the muscles and joints of the arm. It is very important to develop the correct painting posture. The size of the graphic tablet that is most suitable for drawing should be placed on the board of the graphic tablet with the artist's two palms, which can basically accommodate or be slightly larger. For example, wacom's widescreen ratio is the most popular, and the graphics cards in Gao Man are basically 6*8.
4*6 or 4*5 graphics tablets are relatively more suitable for carrying. If your hands are small, you can also consider the size of the graphics card flat, but please consider the following points:
(1) The board is too small to stretch the wrist and arm, and it feels like embroidery;
② The board face is too large, the arm has a large range of motion, and it is easy to get tired;
3A4 or above is used by animation companies to draw large-screen scenes, which is not needed by general painters.
(4) There are quite a few painters who have a sketching foundation and are used to drawing with full open paper, but this is not suitable for drawing in a graphic tablet.
