Anhui University of Science and Technology is better, because Anhui University of Technology is more industrial, and the overall teaching and professional settings are not as comprehensive as Anhui University of Science and Technology. Anhui University of Science and Technology is a high-level characteristic university jointly established by Anhui Province and the Emergency Management Department of People's Republic of China (PRC), and supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China.

The school has a combination of full-time and part-time teachers with reasonable structure. At present, there are more than 4,300 faculty members (including directly affiliated hospitals) and more than 970 senior titles, including China Academy of Engineering 1 person, 8 national-level talents, 44 people enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, more than 80 provincial-level talents and more than 400 high-level experts.

The school has 6 postdoctoral research stations, 6 first-class doctoral programs and 34 doctoral programs in 2 disciplines. There are 22 master's programs in first-class disciplines, 3 master's programs in two disciplines 1 1, and 87 undergraduate majors. There are 1 Anhui class I peak disciplines (the only special support), 5 class III peak disciplines, 1 Anhui provincial key disciplines and 7 provincial key disciplines. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, seven disciplines are on the list.
