The library of China University of Mining and Technology was formerly known as Jiaozuo Road and Mining School Library founded by 1909. 195 1 established the library of China Institute of Mining and Technology, and 1952 reorganized the departments of Tsinghua University, Beiyang University and Tangshan Jiaotong University into China Institute of Mining and Technology. Since the establishment of the library, the library site has gone through the migration of Jiaozuo, Tianjin, Beijing and Sichuan with the school, and the Xuzhou headquarters library and the Beijing campus library have been established respectively. At present, the school-based parts of Xuzhou include Wenchang Campus Library and Nanhu Campus Library. Independent building of Wenchang Campus Library 1.2 million square meters. In 2006, the library of China University of Mining and Technology completed the upgrading of Huiwen document information management dual-computer cluster system and optical fiber network storage system through the Tenth Five-Year Plan "2 1 1 Project", and extended the library document service system to the reference rooms of various departments, forming a service pattern of unified management and resource sharing of the whole school.

China University of Mining and Technology Library, as a member library of CALIS and one of JALIS North Jiangsu Literature Centers, has done active work in the digitalization construction of CALIS, discussion papers database of Mining Engineering Association, international mining conferences and related mining conferences, and established cooperative relations with 46 libraries including British Library, OCLC, Tsinghua University, Peking University and China Academy of Sciences. Contact the literature sharing of universities in northern Jiangsu, and provide fast and effective literature information services for readers through interlibrary loan and document delivery. In 2006, it was awarded the second prize of "Document Delivery Service Award" by the China Higher Education Document Guarantee System (CALIS) Management Center.
