Chengdu Institute of Physical Education is one of the six physical education institutions directly under the former State Sports General Administration, and is now jointly established by Sichuan Province and the State Sports General Administration. It is the oldest physical education institution in China. The school headquarters is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, adjacent to the famous historical site Wuhou Temple.
