Measures of People's Republic of China (PRC) Municipality on the Control of Guns
The following persons may carry guns:
(a) the people's courts, people's procuratorates and public security organs must wear guns because of the needs of their work;
(two) responsible party and government cadres in border areas, coastal defense areas and other remote areas that the people's governments of provinces and autonomous regions think need to carry guns;
(3) confidential traffic police of party and government organs at or above the provincial level, confidential communication personnel necessary for party and government organs and post and telecommunications departments in border areas to carry guns;
(4) Customs officers who need to wear guns because of their work;
(5) Escort by military factory guards.
Article 4 The following units may be equipped with public guns:
(a) it is necessary for the security departments of factories, mines, enterprises, institutions, schools, scientific research and other units to carry guns;
(two) important financial units with guns and important warehouses, radio stations and scientific research units located in remote areas without armed guards;
(3) Geological exploration teams and surveying and mapping teams that need guns for remote areas and offshore operations;
(4) Passengers, goods, oil tankers and other work boats sailing along the coast and the sea;
(5) Civil aviation airports and civil aviation aircraft that need to be equipped with guns.
Article 5 Sports committees at or above the county level that carry out shooting activities may be equipped with shooting guns.
Article 6 Personnel and units specializing in hunting and production may wear and be equipped with shotguns. Non-professional hunters with shotguns are limited to citizens over the age of 18, and each person shall not exceed two.
Seventh hunting production and scientific research and teaching units, wildlife breeding and animal husbandry units and veterinary hospitals may be equipped with injection guns when they need to anesthetize animals.
Article 8 A film studio may purchase scrapped guns as shooting props. However, except for a few special effects guns, other gun parts must be technically treated so that they can no longer be fired with live ammunition.
