The 36-kilometer Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge
On May 1 2008, Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world, was officially opened to traffic. The Hangzhou Bay Bridge looks like an "S" on the whole, which consists of the North Channel Bridge, the South Channel Bridge, the approach bridge and the platform in the sea. It is located in Zhejiang Province, connecting Jiaxing and Ningbo, and is one of the components of the national highway G 15.
The foundation stone of Hangzhou Bay Bridge was laid in June 2003, and it was opened to traffic on May 1 2008. The total length of the line is 36 kilometers and the total length of the bridge is 35.7 kilometers. The bridge deck belongs to a two-way six-lane expressway, and the design speed is maintained at 100 km per hour, with the South-North Hangkong Bridge as the design focus.
With a total investment of 654.38+03.8 billion yuan, Hangzhou Bay Bridge is the largest bridge ever invested in China since 2008. In the construction process, there are also many difficulties, not only to solve the huge amount of work in the construction process, but also to deal with complex and changeable weather conditions, such as wind and tide.
