Changbai Mountain extends from the north shore of the Yellow Sea, and there is an abrupt mountain, namely Phoenix Mountain. There is a city under the mountain called Fengcheng. Fengcheng has a long history, with human life as early as 20,000 years ago (caves with traces of human life were found in Yuanbao Town of Jintong). Unearthed cultural relics clearly recorded and witnessed this period of history, and complete ancient city sites and cultural relics textual research are rare in Northeast China. Wuci County was established in 128 BC (the first year of Emperor Wudi's Yuan Dynasty) and was under the jurisdiction of Liaodong County. Wuchi City is located in the ruins of north village ancient city in Dabao Mongolian town (it is said that it is located in the ruins of Liujiapuzi ancient city in Limin Village, Fengshan Management District). In 9 AD (the first year of the founding of the People's Republic of China), Wang Mang changed Wuci County to Huanci County. In 404 AD (the third year of Yuan Xing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty), Koguryo, an ancient ethnic minority in Northeast China, was assigned to Liaodong, and Wucheng (also known as Cheng Ju) was established. Wucheng was built on the Phoenix Mountain, that is, the Phoenix Mountain City. Longyuan Prefecture and Long Yuan County were established in Liao Dynasty, all of which were located in Long Yuan (the site of Fengcheng Ancient City). Longyuan Prefecture governs Yanzhou, Zhou Mu, Hezhou, Long Yuan and Huinong counties. 10 1 1 year, Emperor Shengzong of Liao visited Longyuan City, canceled Long Yuan House and Longyuan County with "the key to its city", and established Kaizhou and Kaiyuan County, where the states and counties were juxtaposed (the ruins of Fengcheng Ancient City). 10 14 years, Emperor Shengzong of Liao moved more than 1000 households in Hanzhou to Kaizhou, canceled Kaizhou, established Kaifengfu, and administered Kaiyuan County. 10 18 Kaifeng was renamed Kaizhou. The Ming Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of Dewey in Dingliao (stationed in Liaoyang), and later the Ming Dynasty moved Dingliao Youwei from Liaoyang to Fenghuangbao. 1644 (the first year of Shunzhi in Qing dynasty, sai-jo), a city guard officer (the third principle military and political organization, equivalent to the municipal organizational system) was established in Fenghuang, with a jurisdiction area of 29,000 square kilometers and a population of 65,438+10,000. 1687 (the 26th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty) established Phoenix City Guard, which was under the Eight Banners Department of Yellow, White, Red and Blue, and under General Fengtian. 1876 (the second year of Guangxu in Qing dynasty) set up the Phoenix Zhili Hall, which governs Xiuyan Prefecture, Anton County and Kuandian County. 1877 (in the third year of Guangxu), Fengtian East Garrison Road was set up in Fenghuang, which governed the four counties of Fenghuang Zhili Hall, Xingjing Hall 2, Xiuyan Prefecture, Andong County, Kuandian County, Tonghua County, Huanren County and 1 State. 19 14 (3 years of the Republic of China) unified county names throughout the country. Because of the same name as Fenghuang County in Hunan Province, the government of the Republic of China approved the change to Fengcheng County. 1985, Fengcheng County was revoked with the approval of the State Council, and Fengcheng Manchu Autonomous County was established. 1994, Fengcheng Manchu Autonomous County was abolished and Fengcheng was established with the approval of the State Council.
