Air Force Aviation University is a comprehensive military institution of higher learning, which focuses on training flight talents and is compatible with flight and aviation engineering. It is also the key construction institution of "2 1 10 Project" approved by the Central Military Commission during the 11th Five-Year Plan period. It was formed by the merger of the former Air Force Changchun Flight Academy, the Seventh Flight Academy and the Second Aviation Academy and was formally established on June 9, 2004. These three universities were founded 59 years ago and have a glorious history and fine traditions. Tens of thousands of qualified pilots have been trained for land, sea, air and civil aviation, and more than 200 military students have been trained for 13 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States. In addition to the treatment of military cadets, flight students also enjoy relevant special treatment, including post allowance for aviation flight professionals, cabin meals, special equipment, etc. After graduating from Air Force Aviation University, senior high school students and sophomore flight students received bachelor's degrees and were appointed as deputy company officers. This year's undergraduate flight students were awarded a bachelor's degree in military science and appointed as full-time officers.

After high school students are grounded, they will be transferred to military academies on the ground according to their own qualities, and they have the conditions to be trained as ground crew. Sophomore flight students can retire to the original ordinary colleges and universities to continue their studies according to their wishes after being grounded; After the flight students of fresh graduates are grounded, those who meet the requirements of ground crew can be directly appointed as ground crew, or they can be retired according to their own wishes.
