Such a famous mountain is well-known in the north, but little known in the south. So many years ago, when my best friend strongly recommended Yuntai Mountain to me, I felt very strange, but since then, Yuntai Mountain has grown in my heart. There is no bus No.3 directly to the entrance of Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo Railway Station. There is a scenic bus at the entrance of the mountain to take you to various scenic spots for free. Tickets are valid for three days, and you can take the scenic bus unlimited times. Tickets must be checked at the entrance of the ticket office, and your fingerprint must be entered before they can be used in various scenic spots. Each scenic spot can only be entered once and cannot be reused. These scenic spots include Hongshi Gorge, cornucopia peak, Wanshan Temple and Xiaozhaigou (including Quanwaterfall Gorge, Tanwaterfall Gorge and Macaque Valley). Check-in points have been set up at the gates of the four scenic spots.

As the name implies, the red canyon is a canyon made of red stones. Arrive at the entrance of the canyon, walk along the plank road in the canyon, and the red rock will come face to face. This huge fault is the Heilongwangmiao fault, which is about 10 km long and the maximum fault distance can reach 700 meters. It controls the landscape pattern of Yuntai Mountain, and the cliff landscape of Hongshixia is a typical fault plane of the Black Dragon King Temple.
See this stone fault in front of you? Much longer than humans have existed on the earth. These stones have existed for 3.4 billion years in the 4.6 billion-year history of the earth. Geologists collected Archean rock samples in the process of studying the landform and landscape formation of Yuntai Mountain.
This red rock with bright color and clear texture was formed on the beach1200 million years ago. With the rise and fall of the tide at that time, Yuntaishan area sometimes sank to the bottom of the sea and sometimes surfaced. There are abundant sedimentary structural relics preserved in rocks, such as cross bedding, wave marks and mud cracks, which are all evidence of the existence of ancient oceans at that time. The geological wonders in front of you let you know what the real "vicissitudes" are.
Chibi Cliff is one of the typical landscapes in Yuntai Mountain. Its rock is purple sandstone formed about/kloc-0.2 billion years ago. During the formation of Taihang Mountain, due to the dislocation and weathering erosion of faults, ancient rocks emerged from the earth's surface, just like the uncanny workmanship of nature opened a skylight for Yuntai Mountain here, and obtained the beautiful scenery of Hongshixia and the spectacular scenery of Ya Dan in Chibi. Hence the name "Hongshixia". Xia Hong is a fault zone formed by orogeny, which fully embodies the process of orogeny and shows the greatness of orogeny.
Known as "the first wonder of China", the total length of Hongshixia is1500m, but its widest point is only 20m and its narrowest point is less than 5m. The whole canyon is under the surface of the earth. To visit this scenic spot, you have to go down a spiral staircase and reach the bottom of 86 meters deep step by step, so that you can enjoy the hidden wonders. Along the valley under the steep stone steps, the rocks are layered and close to the cliff. People are embedded in the cliff, they can see and walk. Anyway, this is a one-way street, and they are not afraid of getting lost. The path twists and turns, and only one person can pass at the narrowest point. If you are not careful, tall people will inevitably not be hit by stones.
Creeping people flow to the bottom of the valley and feel much cooler before they see the water. Turning a corner, a deep pool came into view. The water gap at the bottom of the valley is not big, but it can cause such a loud noise. I think narrow and high canyons can amplify sound.
Looking back, the steep cliffs on both sides form a narrow canyon "one line of sky". Separated by mountains, towering cliffs, Cui Wei confrontation, mountains, leaving only a line of heaven and earth. Looking up, it is not wide or bright.
The Red Gorge, known as the "Bonsai Canyon", has become a "shrinking landscape world and expanding artistic bonsai" due to crustal movement.

The Bailong Waterfall, more than 60 meters high, stands on both sides of the mountain, and the roar of the waterfall is shocking. The waterfall flows into Bailongtan day and night, but the water in this pool has not increased or flowed out. So where did the water go? It turned out that there was a huge river under the pool, and a lot of water flowed away. When we arrived at the Black Dragon Pool, a waterfall spewed out from the mountain wall, which was spectacular. Moving water flows into still water, which is beautiful. Waterfalls have a unique style, which makes people linger and have endless aftertaste.
Xia Hong is considered as the most beautiful place in Yuntai Mountain. Its distinctive features are dark red rocks, red mountains and green water, and its unique charm. There are both the magnificence of mountains and rivers in the north and the beauty of water towns in the south of the Yangtze River. You can also see many waterfalls and streams, and you can hear the sound of waves in your ears. There are rocks of various geological ages in the canyon, and the whole canyon is a geological museum.
Hongshixia Scenic Area is the landmark area of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area. It takes about an hour and a half to visit. Hongshixia is a one-way scenic spot. After crossing Hongshi Gorge, it is Zifang Lake.
Ovary is also called Pinghu. During the Han Dynasty, Sean (Zifang) once stood on the mountain peak on the west side of the valley, trained day and night, helped Liu Bang achieve great things, and then lived in seclusion here. Diecai Cave's cornucopia peak is just around the corner, and the stone wall of Yuntaishan National Forest Park stands out behind the ticket gate. There are steps on both sides of the stone wall. To the left, you can reach the peak of Cornus officinalis peak, and to the right, it is Phoenix Ridge. After a little thinking, you decide to go to Phoenix Ridge first.
The sun is not hot in the morning, and dense trees block the faint sunshine. This is a quiet mountain road. The "Chongyang Pavilion" on the cliff of Fenghuangling was built in the early Tang Dynasty. It was originally a wooden structure, but it was destroyed by war in the Yuan Dynasty. Legend has it that when Wang Wei boarded Yuntai Mountain, it coincided with the Double Ninth Festival and boarded the pavilion, hoping to miss his loved ones, so he wrote a farewell song on Chongyang Pavilion. This pavilion was built in memory of Wang Wei, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. In 2002, the "Chongyang Pavilion" was rebuilt on the original site, with four floors and white walls and black eaves. Because it is majestic in the mountains, it can still be seen dozens of miles away. Climb the "Chongyang Pavilion" and overlook the winding Cornus peak. The glass plank road faces the deep valley, which makes people feel like flying.
The glass plank road in Yuntai Mountain is in Fenghuangling, which is why I decided to go to Fenghuangling first. It's still early, and a large number of tourists have not yet entered the mountain. I want to go to the glass plank road before a large number of tourists arrive. Later, it turned out that my idea was right because I was afraid of heights and hesitated timidly in front of the glass plank road. I went to the "Chongyang Pavilion" first, then turned back to the ticket office of the glass plank road, and there was already a long queue. Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area has planned two plank roads. At present, the first phase of the plank road project has been completed and built on the mountainside at an altitude of 1000 meters. It is U-shaped along the cliff wall, with a total length of more than 260 meters, including 68 meters of glass plank road. Curiosity and competitiveness can finally overcome the slight fear of heights and timidity. Standing on the glass plank road, on the right is the sharp cliff of broken walls, and on the left is the abyss that you dare not overlook. Standing between the cliffs, the road began to move slowly and carefully. At the third place, I gradually got used to it and stopped being afraid. The plank road is made of steel frame, special tempered glass, about 2.7cm thick, and can bear 800kg per square meter. Extremely safe, fear comes from the heart, not from the outside.
Walking on the glass plank road, there is transparent glass under your feet, and the whole person seems to be standing in the air. Looking down through the glass, it seems to be flying above the clouds, and the abyss is at your feet. Looking from a distance on the plank road, other mountains look short under the sky. The mountain is not only full of beautiful scenery, but also has a strong exciting pleasure. Nature's uncanny workmanship really makes people feel awe.
Looking at the opposite mountain, "Chongyang Pavilion" stands on another glass plank road, and the Cornus peak in the distance seems out of reach. After the completion of the second-phase plank road project, Yuntai Mountain will become the first scenic spot in the Central Plains with two glass plank roads. Now the open glass plank road has become the most popular tourist attraction.
After walking through a quiet path, the noise of the crowd gradually came from the front, and I was already on my way to Cowus Mountain. Looking up at Mount Kornas: The mountain road is steep and rugged, and it is difficult to climb. Warning signs on the roadside are also reminding people in poor health to walk carefully.
Mount Cornus, the main peak of Yuntai Mountain, is 1308 meters above sea level, so it is named after the aromatic plant Cornus officinalis, which can be seen everywhere in ancient times. Commonly known as Xiaobeiding, which means close to Beitianmen, it is often noticed by the gods. They will satisfy people's prayers and let people come here to burn incense and make wishes.
There is a Wang Yaodong at the waist, with a depth of 30m and a diameter of10m. According to legend, it was the place where Sun Simiao, Wang Yao, collected herbs and made an alchemy in the Tang Dynasty. There is an ancient yew at the mouth of the cave, about 20 meters high, and its trunk is as thick as three people's arms. It is thriving and has a history of about 1000 years. It is said that it is the northernmost natural distribution place of Taxus chinensis in China, which has very important botanical value.

There is Zhenwu Hall on the top of the mountain, where Emperor Zhenwu went to cultivate immortals. This place has become a famous Taoist shrine, filled with smoke all day long. Fiona Fang's devout pilgrims often come here to burn incense and pray, which is said to be very effective. In addition, there are more than ten caves, such as kitchen cave, Wang Yandong cave and yellow mud cave.
This road is circular. Go up here and down there. More and more people don't look back, but go down. When the pavilion near the mountain gate was crowded with tourists, more than half of the climbers stopped there. Back at the entrance of the mountain, snow-white Wang Weihe and Sun Simiao stood and sat, admired by later generations. Man-made mountain or famous mountain? The two complement each other and create each other.
It takes about an hour and a half to climb the Phoenix Mountain easily, and about two hours to climb the Cornus peak with some steep steps. If you are tired, you can choose one, and both of them will climb for four or five hours.

I thought summer had not arrived yet, and it should not be too hot in Henan at this time. I didn't expect the sun to be hot at noon. It should be a good arrangement to visit Xiaozhaigou at this time. Xiaozhaigou (including Quanpu Gorge, Tanpu Gorge and Macaca Valley) is a scenic spot with water as the highlight. Where there is water, it should be cooler.
The spring waterfall gorge (Laotangou) was formed in Cambrian 540-490 million years ago. Since 23 million years ago, after a long period of water erosion, transportation and gravity collapse, the ancient planation plane with an altitude of 800- 1200m was partially cut down, forming a canyon with a length of 3000m and a depth of 500m. You can take the battery to water curtain cave (one-way 10 yuan) at the gate of Quanpu Gorge, or walk along the path from the right side of the gate.
Walking into the canyon, the towering cliffs on both sides completely exposed the Cambrian strata, providing us with a good standard stratigraphic profile. According to legend, this is the place where the Dragon King of Tianhe was banished to earth in order to alleviate the folk drought in northern Henan and violate the will of the Jade Emperor. Supposedly, there should be springs and waterfalls here, but now is really not the time. Insufficient rainfall caused the Yuntai Waterfall, the first waterfall in Asia, to be cut off with a drop of 3 14m. There is a dry river bed in the canyon. Stones that should be underwater reflect dazzling white light in the sun and have obvious heat in the wind. There are only a few streams left in the waterfall, so it is impossible to form a complete water curtain.
When you come to Yuntai Mountain, you should at least go to see Artest's Ji Chuan performance. Every morning at 9: 00, 10:00,1:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, the performers arrive on a small bamboo raft. It is quite a bit of a sage like type.
Waterfall Canyon is the source of Zifang River, the main river. The canyon is 1270 meters long, with three steps, one spring, five steps and ten waterfalls. The grotesque landscape is ever-changing. All the way along the tinkling mountain road, the spring water flows on the rock wall, trickling for a while and whispering for a while; After a while, it dived under the stone and was with the green bryophytes. This is really a natural mural.
The way back is on the other side of the stream path. The water is crystal clear from beginning to end, and the small fish inside swim happily in the water. There is no such thing as "clear water without fish". The fish in this water have evolved to be almost transparent, and it is difficult to find them without careful observation.
Water curtain cave is a natural cave with water plants and stone eaves on the roof. The water drops on the stone eaves hang down from the roof like crystal clear pearls. Small water droplets strung together, hanging on the green moss, scattered all over the floor.
Macaque Valley is a small hill. There are captive monkeys and monkey training classes in Monkey Valley, and there are monkey parks on the mountain. Those naughty monkeys scattered on the mountain are not afraid of people. Seeing monkeys performing in chains, I feel that human beings are really cruel. Just skip this scenic spot and climb an extra mountain to exercise.
Wanshan Temple, backed by natural barrier, climbs up the mountain, a temple. There is a golden Buddha in the temple, so it is also called "Golden Buddha Temple". Founded in the Tang Dynasty, there are the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Major Hall and the Side Hall, which are quite deserted.
This stone pagoda was once the cemetery of monks in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The pagoda is 8 meters high, engraved with inscriptions and beautifully made. Now that the new tower has been rebuilt, the old tower is gone.
However, the reconstruction and expansion have not been completed yet, and the scale has become larger, but there is almost no history. Except for the gate, all other places are modern buildings. Is it really good to rebuild and expand like this?
There are six main scenic spots in Yuntai Mountain: Hongshi Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Macaque Valley, Cornus officinalis Peak and Wanshan Temple. Among them, the most beautiful scenery is Hongshi Gorge, Quanpu Gorge and Tanpu Gorge. The value of these three scenic spots is basically supported by waterfalls. Without water, there is no waterfall, and the rest is just climbing mountains to see rocks. So the best time to play Yuntai Mountain is July, August and September, when there is much water.
