Introduction: China and Canada Norman? Bethune Health Research Scholarship Program provides no more than 30 scholarships to the best China students every year to pursue doctoral degrees in Canadian universities and affiliated research institutions. This project is provided by the Canadian Institute of Health in cooperation with china scholarship council, China (Weibo), and implemented in cooperation with almost 90 research and training projects in almost every health research field in Canada. Each training program consists of a group of excellent instructors/educators in the health field. Together they provide research training at one or more locations in Canada. The duration of the scholarship is four to five years, and the total amount of the scholarship will not be less than 17850 Canadian dollars per person per year.

Scholarships provide three years of study at $28,000 per year, supplemented by research funding. Doctoral students studied in university of alberta, Calgary University and Lethbridge University.
