Li Shuying is a master of Chinese embroidery, a representative inheritor of Chaozhou embroidery in Guangdong intangible cultural heritage project, a master of Guangdong arts and crafts, a master of Guangdong folk culture skills, and a member of Chaozhou Folk Artists Association. At present, he is the curator of Xiangqiao Folk Art Exhibition Hall and the director of Xiangqiao Chaozhou Embroidery Research Institute.

Born in Chaozhou, a national historical and cultural city, 1948, four generations ago engaged in embroidery art. His grandfather opened an iron puppet workshop in Chaoshan West Road in the late Qing Dynasty, which is famous in Southeast Asia, southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong, and is called "Puppet Li". Li Shuying has been studying with her father Li Wenlong since she was eight years old. After more than 50 years of exploration and tempering, she has mastered superb traditional embroidery skills, and her Chaozhou embroidery works have won many awards in provincial and national exhibitions. 1990 was awarded by the Ministry of Light Industry of China to work in the arts and crafts industry for 30 years, which contributed to the development of arts and crafts in China.

Master Li Shuying insisted on the research and inheritance of Chaozhou embroidery, sorted out and summarized the techniques of Chaozhou embroidery, and persistently engaged in the research of embroidery art. He established a national intangible cultural heritage-Chaozhou embroidery creation base in Jiadixiang 16, Chaozhou, and trained the younger generation free of charge. Chaozhou launched the "non-stop needle" plan, and government and enterprises jointly trained Chaozhou embroidery talents. Zhan Huina, a post-80s apprentice, is a master of Chaozhou folk arts and crafts, and her works have won many awards at the National Arts and Crafts Fair. The unique charm of Chaozhou embroidery also attracted Hasqimuge, a talented woman from Peking University and a descendant of Han embroidery, to learn from Master Li Shuying in Chaozhou.

Chaozhou embroidery, also called Chaozhou embroidery, is the mainstream of Guangdong embroidery, with unique style and strong local color. Guangdong embroidery, Suzhou embroidery, Hunan embroidery and Sichuan embroidery are called the four famous embroideries in China.

Chaozhou embroidery has full and balanced composition and diverse stitches. According to the Records of Guangdong Arts and Crafts, Chaozhou embroidery is exported to Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia through Shantou Port, occupying the Nanyang market, especially the embroidery in halls and Buddhist temples with strong folk characteristics is in short supply. In the Qing Dynasty, Chaozhou embroidery was exported on a large scale, and the foreign trade was unprecedented.
