During my study, I worked in the Admissions Office of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Our main responsibility is to recruit students, including publicity, consultation, enrollment plan, examination, admission of candidates and so on. This work requires us to coordinate and cooperate with various departments to ensure the smooth progress of the whole enrollment process.
I have benefited a lot from my work. First of all, I learned how to communicate and coordinate better. This job requires us to communicate with different people, including parents, high school teachers and various departments of the school. So I gradually learned how to communicate effectively with different people, express my views, resolve contradictions and solve problems.
Secondly, I learned to manage my time. The enrollment task is heavy and complicated, so I must arrange my time reasonably and complete all the tasks. In this process, I summed up some effective time management methods, such as making a detailed schedule and using pomodoro technique.
Finally, this job also gave me a deeper understanding of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Through continuous cooperation with other departments, I gradually became familiar with the whole campus environment and academic atmosphere.
In a word, this job has made me gain a lot, and it is also very helpful for my career development.
