What are the main responsibilities of NPC deputies?
Legal analysis: deputies to the National People's Congress should represent the interests and will of the people, exercise their functions and powers according to law, actively perform their duties and give full play to their representative role.

Deputies to the National People's Congress must support the leadership of the China Producers' Party, strive to practice the "Theory of Three Represents", abide by the Constitution and laws in an exemplary manner, and assist in the implementation of the Constitution and laws in their own production, work and social activities.

Deputies to the National People's Congress shall attend the meetings of the People's Congress on time, consciously abide by the discipline of the Congress, earnestly exercise their functions and powers according to law during the Congress, consider various work reports, express their opinions, actively put forward suggestions, criticisms and opinions, and strive to do a good job in the work of the Congress.

Deputies to the National People's Congress shall actively participate in meetings, inspections, law enforcement inspections, investigations and comments organized by the NPC Standing Committee during the intersessional period, participate in activities organized by representative groups, put forward proposals, suggestions, criticisms and opinions, and assist the people's government in its work. The time for delegates to participate in activities during the intersessional period is 20 days for provincial and municipal people's congresses and 0/5 days for county (urban) township people's congresses.

Deputies to the National People's Congress shall participate in the study, training and legal lectures organized by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and representative groups, and strive to improve their own quality.

Deputies to the National People's Congress should keep close contact with the people, often visit and contact voters, listen to and reflect their opinions and demands, and strive to serve the people.

Deputies to the National People's Congress shall keep close contact with the original electoral unit, actively participate in various representative activities organized by the original electoral unit, often return to the original electoral unit to listen to opinions, report on the performance of their duties, and consciously accept supervision.

Deputies to the National People's Congress should strive to do their jobs well, achieve excellent results, and play an exemplary and leading role in economic and social development.

Legal basis: Law of the People's Republic of China on Deputies to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at Various Levels.

Article 2 Deputies to the National People's Congress and local people's congresses at various levels shall be elected in accordance with the law.

Deputies to the National People's Congress are members of the highest organ of state power, and deputies to local people's congresses are members of local organs of state power at all levels.

The National People's Congress and local people's congresses at various levels represent the interests and will of the people and participate in the exercise of state power in accordance with the functions and powers entrusted to the people's congresses at the corresponding levels by the Constitution and laws.

Article 3 Representatives shall enjoy the following rights:

(a) to attend the meeting of the people's congress at the corresponding level, participate in the deliberation of various bills, reports and other issues, and express their opinions;

(two) jointly put forward motions, questions, recalls, etc. according to law. ;

(three) to put forward suggestions, criticisms and opinions on all aspects of work;

(four) to participate in the election of the people's congress at the corresponding level;

(five) to participate in the voting of the people's congress at the corresponding level;

(six) to obtain the information and various guarantees needed to perform the duties of representatives according to law;

(seven) other rights as prescribed by law.

Article 4 Representatives shall perform the following obligations:

(1) Abide by the Constitution and laws in an exemplary manner, keep state secrets, and assist in the implementation of the Constitution and laws in the production, work and social activities that they participate in;

(two) to attend the meeting of the people's congress at the corresponding level on time, carefully consider the proposals, reports and other issues, express their opinions, and do a good job in all the work during the meeting;

(three) actively participate in the unified organization of inspection, special investigation, law enforcement inspection and other performance activities;

(four) to strengthen the study and investigation, and constantly improve the ability to perform the duties of representatives;

(five) close contact with the voters in the original constituency or the original electoral unit and the people, listen to and reflect their opinions and demands, and strive to serve the people;

(six) consciously abide by social morality, honesty and self-discipline, fairness and decency, diligence and responsibility;

(seven) other obligations stipulated by law.

Article 5 The work of deputies during the sessions of the people's congresses at the corresponding levels and their activities when the people's congresses at the corresponding levels are not in session according to the provisions of this Law are the duties of deputies.

The state and society provide guarantees for deputies to perform their duties as deputies.

Represents not being divorced from their respective production and work. Representatives attending meetings of the people's congresses at the corresponding levels and participating in activities of performing their duties organized in a unified way during the intersessional period shall arrange their own production and work and give priority to performing their duties as deputies.
