The Department of Biotechnology offers three majors: landscape architecture, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and horticultural technology, involving 12 professional direction. Among them, the majors of landscape architecture, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine and horticulture technology are exempted from all tuition fees, and supported by scholarships awarded by enterprises such as Dabeinong and Zheng Da. There are 48 full-time teachers in this department, including 4 professors, 8 associate professors, 5 graduate students and 0 doctoral students. There are 32 "double-qualified" teachers, all of whom work part-time in enterprises or undertake technical services, and there are 3 science and technology commissioners in Wulanchabu; Teachers of this department have presided over 2 national scientific research projects and 3 scientific research projects in universities of autonomous region. The exploration and practice of the school-enterprise cooperation project "Dabei Agricultural Model" won the second prize of higher education in the autonomous region. In addition, 13 part-time teachers are hired from enterprises and industries. Animal husbandry and veterinary specialty and landscape technology specialty are recognized as brand majors at the autonomous region level, and two courses, such as animal anatomy and animal infectious diseases, are excellent courses at the autonomous region level. The employment of landscape technology major (landscape planning and design direction, landscape engineering construction and supervision direction) is for enterprises and institutions such as landscape bureau, urban planning and design institute, landscape design institute, landscape engineering company, landscape flower production enterprise, urban park, landscape supervision company, decoration design company, environmental art production company, real estate company, advertising company, etc. We have signed employment agreements with Nursery in Jining District of Wulanchabu, Beijing Bishui Manor Garden Department, Inner Mongolia New Shennong Garden, Tianjin Luyin Garden Company, Inner Mongolia Spring Bud Garden, Tongliao Taihua Horticulture, Erdos Rong Sheng Garden, etc.

Animal husbandry and veterinary specialty (modern animal husbandry management) is oriented to modern intensive farms, animal husbandry bureaus at all levels, quality inspection departments, animal and drug monitoring stations, large feed factories, urban pet hospitals, pet beauty salons and other enterprises and institutions, especially the pet industry. The monthly income of pet doctors and pet beauticians with 2-3 years of practical experience is about 20,000 yuan. The employment of horticulture technology major (ornamental horticulture) is open to enterprises and institutions such as horticultural technical guidance stations, horticultural fields, garden bureaus, agricultural bureaus, relevant scientific research institutes, nature reserves at all levels, sightseeing agricultural parks, garden companies, flower planting companies, flower etiquette companies, horticultural seed production companies, flower shops, decorative design companies, environmental art production companies, real estate companies and advertising companies, and environmental protection departments at all levels. Potato Engineering Department is a characteristic department in ulanqab vocational college, a Dutch orange potato project unit, a member of the potato professional committee of the National Food Industry Association and a member of the Inner Mongolia Potato Industry Association, which was established in June 2007. Our department aims at serving the potato industry in China, serving the potato capital, serving the local economy and cultivating skilled personnel in related industries. The Institute invested 50 million yuan to introduce the "first" domestic pilot production line of potato snow pollen, granular whole powder, starch and modified starch from Danish DPP company, and set up the R&D training center for potato deep processing in ulanqab vocational college. In 2009, we invested 3 million yuan in Minfeng potato industry in Inner Mongolia to build a potato production and processing training base, and invested more than 3 million yuan to build ulanqab vocational college potato quality supervision, inspection and testing center on campus. It provides a good practice platform for students and creates a comprehensive development space for improving their employment competitiveness. Ulanqab vocational college affiliated technical secondary school is a full-time general technical secondary school approved by the Education Department of the autonomous region, which belongs to ulanqab vocational college. At present, there are 40 employees, including professors 1 person, 7 associate professors (senior lecturers) and 5 lecturers. The organization consists of office, academic affairs office, student affairs office, enrollment and training department and finance department, which mainly undertakes the education of five-year technical secondary school graduates and all kinds of medium-and long-term training, exercises administrative functions and relies on teachers from various departments in ulanqab vocational college to complete teaching. At present, there are four majors 14, such as mechatronics, mechanization of agriculture and animal husbandry, computerized accounting, comprehensive management of rural economy, project cost, automobile maintenance and inspection, preschool education, construction engineering technology, power system automation wind power generation, etc. There are 16 five-year classes with 853 five-year students.

The comprehensive ability teaching department of ulanqab vocational college, Inner Mongolia was established in September 2006.
