The ace majors of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology are: digital media application technology, communication technology, mechatronics technology, electronic information engineering technology, software technology, photovoltaic power generation technology and application, optoelectronics technology, Internet of Things engineering technology, electronic product quality inspection, electronic assembly technology and equipment.

Nanjing Institute of Information Technology is located in Xianlin University Town, Qixia District, Nanjing. It is a full-time higher vocational and technical college organized by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. In 20 15, it was selected as the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in China, and in March 20 16, it was selected as the national backbone higher vocational college.

Nanjing Institute of Information Technology was formerly known as Nanjing Radio Industry School of 1953, and later passed through Nanjing Telecom School, East China Industrial School and Nanjing Industrial School.
