When we want to weld, we should first choose suitable welding guns and nozzle heads with different calibers according to the size, thickness and thermal conductivity of different weldments.
When operating, first unscrew the acetylene switch, then gently unscrew the oxygen switch to ignite the acetylene gas. At this time, the flame temperature is not high, and there are two layers of white flame cores at the nozzle. In addition, due to too much acetylene gas and incomplete combustion, black smoke is often emitted (another function of slightly introducing oxygen before ignition is to reduce the amount of black smoke). When welding, adjust the oxygen switch to make the proportion of oxygen and acetylene gas appropriate, and burn fully to reach high temperature. When welding, the joint of weldment shall be burned to red-hot degree first, then covered electrode butt welding shall be filled into the upper joint, and after being melted together, the oxyacetylene flame shall be removed. Welding shall be carried out after cooling.
When stopping welding, be sure to turn off the acetylene gas switch first, and then turn off the oxygen throttle valve after the oxygen flow blows out the residual oxygen acetylene flame.
Cutting guns generally have three switches, the top of which is the hyperbaric oxygen switch, which is also commonly known as the blast switch; Below the high wind switch is a mixed gas switch; In the back, one of the switches is an acetylene switch.
The sequence of use is: first turn on the acetylene switch and ignite it, then control the flame by adjusting the size of the mixed gas and acetylene, preheat the object to be cut, and when it reaches the melting state, turn on the overhead switch for cutting. There are three kinds of cutting guns in common use: GB-30, GB- 100 and GB-300. Each cutting gun can be equipped with several cutting nozzles with different apertures to cut metals with different thicknesses. The number of cutting nozzles is 1#, 2# and 3#, and the larger the number, the thicker the metal to be cut.
