I'm glad to hear that Yujie is going to hold a calligraphy exhibition and prepare to collect calligraphy works. I visited the other day and invited me to preface his book. I readily agreed.
To tell the truth, I usually have little time to write calligraphy, but I like calligraphy very much. Every time I see exquisite calligraphy works, I am often infected by its exquisite lines and dark and humid ink color changes. When Yu Jie came, he gave me a collection of his calligraphy works published last summer. I read it carefully and got a more comprehensive understanding of his calligraphy.
In fact, we have known Yu Jie since 1998 and know that he works in Nanyang Public Security Bureau. Public security work has a special nature and irregular time. It is really not easy to calm down and write calligraphy in the busy work. I also know that he is diligent, often in the pool, persistently pursuing the art of calligraphy. In 2005, he was admitted to Capital Normal University as a graduate student in reading law. It is very rare that he is also the only calligraphy graduate student in the national public security system.
During the discussion, I learned that the past two years have been a bumper year for Yu Jie in calligraphy. He won the first prize of the National Calligraphy Competition four times in a row and gained a lot. It must have a certain influence in the national calligraphy circle!
