Geoffry Northcote institute of education was founded in 1939 and merged into the hong kong institute of education in 1994.
This college is the first institution in Hong Kong that specializes in training teachers. Initially, it was named Hong Kong Teachers College. Later, it was named after Geoffry Northcote, then the governor of Hong Kong who advocated the establishment of the college, and took the family emblem of Joffrey Northcote as the school emblem.
At that time, the school was located at No.21sassoon road, Shawan, Pokfulam, Hong Kong Island, and the nearby road was also called Geoffry Northcote Trail. After the original school building was demolished, it is now the teaching building of HKU Medical College and the location of Caritas Hu Middle School.

Sir Geoffry Northcote, a senior official of the British colony, KCMG, KSTJ (Sir Geoffrey Alexander Stafford Northcote,1881February 9-1July 948 10) went abroad 1935 to/KLOC.
Geoffry Northcote joined the colonial department on 1904, and has served in African colonial government institutions for a long time. He served as Assistant Secretary of State of Kenya, Chief Secretary of Northern Rhodesia and Assistant Secretary of the Gold Coast, and served as Governor of the Gold Coast during his tenure as Assistant Secretary of the Gold Coast. Subsequently, from 1935 to 1936, he was transferred to British Guiana in South America as governor.
Geoffry Northcote was transferred to the post of Governor of Hong Kong in June 1937, just as the Sino-Japanese War broke out. In order to cope with the increasingly serious threat from the Japanese army, he actively rectified Hong Kong's defense during his term of office, including enacting emergency legislation to implement conscription in July 1939, and levying income tax for the first time in June 1940 to reduce the burden on the army.
However, Sir Geoffry Northcote was absent from Hong Kong for many years due to illness at the end of his term. Shortly after returning to Hong Kong, he resigned due to illness in September 194 1 and went back to England to recuperate. Three months later, the Japanese army invaded Hong Kong and did not become a prisoner of war.
Sir Geoffry Northcote returned as the chief intelligence officer of the East African army during World War II. After the war, he was appointed as the first speaker of the East African Parliament by the British court in April 1948, but he died in July of the same year at the age of 67.

Wen Xian Daoguan Primary School (referred to as General Officer; English: Wen Xian Road Government Primary School (BRGPS) is a government primary school in Hong Kong, located at No.9a Wen Xian Road, covering an area of about 1000 square meters.
Formerly known as the afternoon school of Doctor Primary School, it moved to the former site of Joffrey Northcote Education College (also the former site of Baptism Male Library, the first stop of Sun Yat-sen's historical trail) on June 25th, 2000, and the new school was named "Wen Xian Daoguan Primary School".

Sir Samuel George Bonham, Bt, KCB (Sir Samuel George Bonham,1803 September 7-1863101October 8), also translated as Xianping, Pingyuan, Korean or Puheng, British East India Company and colonial officials;
1836 to 1843 served as the fourth governor of the Straits Colony, and then served as the third governor of Hong Kong from 1848 to 1854, and concurrently served as the plenipotentiary and commercial director of the Minister in China.

Jinwentai Middle School is a Band 1 government Chinese middle school located at No.30, Battery Hill Road, North Point, Hong Kong, covering an area of about 1 1, 148 square meters.
Founded in 1926, the school is the first Chinese middle school run by the British colonial government in Hong Kong and the oldest government Chinese middle school in Hong Kong.
1946, the school accepted female students, creating the first co-education in Hong Kong government secondary schools. Over the years, the school has trained many celebrities, senior officials and artists, including Mr. Zeng Yinpei, Mr. Li Mingkui, Mr. Cui Qi, Mr. Ye Liangying and Ms. Michelle Lo.

Sir King (Sir, mbth,1875 September1-1947 April 5), a senior British colonial official, was the Governor of the Straits Colony from 1938 to 1934 and the British High Commissioner in Malaya.
Kim 1899 joined the Hong Kong Government. In his early years, he served as Assistant District Lands Officer in the New Territories, Assistant to the Secretary for Home Affairs, Secretary of the Executive and Legislative Councils, Acting Secretary for Home Affairs and ex officio member of the Executive and Legislative Councils. Before becoming Governor, he served as Secretary of British Guiana Government (later renamed Government Secretary) and Secretary of Ceylon Government.
During his tenure as governor, he successfully eased the long-standing general strike in various provinces and ports, and gradually recovered Hong Kong from the depression in all walks of life. In addition, he attached importance to the development of social foundation;
Apart from presiding over the construction of Kowloon Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital and Shing Mun Reservoir, he also enthusiastically praised China culture, founded the first government Chinese school in Hong Kong, and supported the establishment of Chinese Department in the University of Hong Kong. The government Chinese school was later renamed Jinwentai Middle School to commemorate his emphasis on Chinese education.
Jin has a good relationship with Chinese from all walks of life in Hong Kong. During his tenure, he fought for the appointment of Sir Shou son Chow as the first Chinese unofficial member of the Executive Council, and allowed the squires in the New Territories to set up Heung Yee Kuk to manage local affairs. His political achievements are highly praised.
