Three, welding technology and engineering specialty is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary subject, which integrates mechanics, electrical and electronics, engineering mechanics, material science, automatic control technology, computer technology and other disciplines, and has outstanding practicality. The teaching of this major is based on cultivating students' comprehensive application of multidisciplinary knowledge, broadening students' knowledge, emphasizing practical training, combining theory with practice closely, improving the ability to solve practical engineering problems and carrying out basic training for engineers. Students of this major are encouraged to have interdisciplinary double degrees and cooperate with Harbin Welding Technology Training Center to jointly cultivate international welding engineers (IIE) who have certain welding engineering experience, are familiar with national and international welding standards and are recognized by the International Welding Society (IIW).
