1. College of Literature is one of the earliest colleges in Jinan University. Its predecessor, Chinese Department of Jinan Normal University, was founded in 1978. After more than 40 years of development, based on normal education, it has delivered a large number of outstanding Chinese normal talents to the primary and secondary education fronts inside and outside the province.

2. The history of the School of Mathematical Sciences can be traced back to 1980. At present, undergraduate education has four majors: mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science, financial mathematics, data science and big data technology.

3. One of the earliest specialties established by the College of Physical Science and Technology. The college has strong academic strength and obvious school-running characteristics. There are three undergraduate majors in physics, photoelectric information science and engineering, and new energy science and engineering, with more than 500 undergraduates/kloc-0.

4. Business schools have majors in economics, finance, international economy and trade, investment, accounting, financial management, business administration, information management and information systems, big data management and application standardization engineering.

There are six departments in the School of Foreign Languages, namely, English Department, Japanese Department, Korean Department, German Department, French Department and College Foreign Language Teaching Department. At present, there are seven languages including English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Russian and Spanish, among which English is the first-class undergraduate major in Shandong Province.

6. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the College of Political Science and Law is a key construction and development school of Jinan University, which was formed by the merger of the former School of Political Science and Public Administration and the former Law School on 20 15 and 12. The college covers four first-class disciplines: sociology, public administration, law and political science, among which sociology has been rated as the key construction discipline in Shandong Province twice in a row.

7. Marxism College was established on the basis of the former teaching and research section of ideological and political theory course, the teaching institution of Marxist theory in Jinan University.

The College of Materials Science and Engineering has a master's degree authorization point, a doctor's degree authorization point and a postdoctoral research station for the first-level discipline of materials science and engineering, and has the right to grant a master's degree in materials engineering.
