Qiongzhou Opera, also known as Qiongzhou Opera and Hainan Opera, is a kind of opera in Haikou City and Ding 'an County, Hainan Province, China. It originated from Xinghua Opera in Fujian and was sung in Hainan dialect. It has been circulated in traditional operas in Hainan, Leizhou, Guangdong and Xuwen for more than 300 years.
Formerly known as Wenzhou Zaju, it was introduced to Hainan Island from Fujian in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
Singing in Hainan dialect, the performance system is similar to Chao Opera and Han Opera.
Music qupai and banqiang are both used, and there are two kinds of vocals: qupai and banqiang.
