Is accounting a major that won't lose its job?
I am a senior majoring in accounting in a university in Modu. I have worked as an intern in the top 500 enterprises and four accounting firms, and have come into contact with financial and accounting personnel at different levels. Through communication and getting along with them, I have accumulated a lot of experience, which I can share with you.

Accounting has a set of systematic things, which is huge and difficult to master in a short time. As you have been in the business for longer and longer, your business has become more and more extensive, and you have become more familiar and flexible in specific applications. Therefore, accounting is such a profession, and the older you get, the more popular you become. In the accumulation of years, there are always many things that beginners can't learn and understand. We usually call it "professional judgment", and a very important part of professional judgment is "digital sensitivity".

The basis of accounting work is to deal with various figures (including financial and non-financial figures) every day. If you like dealing with numbers and have rich knowledge of financial accounting, you will accumulate a high degree of sensitivity to numbers for a long time. If you are the chief financial officer, this high degree of digital sensitivity may be life and death for the enterprise.

An excellent accountant should have a T-shaped knowledge structure, that is, he must have a considerable depth in professional knowledge, including finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, investment and financing activities, etc. At the same time, we must master a certain range of other knowledge, including economic law, enterprise management, enterprise merger and reorganization, basic knowledge of production technology and some marketing knowledge, negotiation skills, corporate governance and so on. These all need time to accumulate, so the older the accountant, the more popular he is.

Of course, the older the accountant, the more popular he is, which varies from person to person. No one can easily support the elderly in their own posts. Keep a heart of continuous learning, don't be overwhelmed by trivial work, and don't have any illusions about getting redder as you get older. No career can stand on the past, and no one can become a winner in life without hard work.
