Feeding method of young rabbits
After the birth of the baby rabbit, the living environment has changed, but at this time, the baby rabbit's organs are not fully developed, and its adaptability is poor and weak, and it is easy to die. Therefore, effective feeding and management measures must be taken to improve the survival rate of young rabbits. The following are the methods I have carefully arranged for you to raise young rabbits. Let's have a look.

The feeding method of young rabbits should be scientifically matched with the proportion of concentrate and coarse feed according to different physiological stages. Generally, the nutritional level of young rabbits is high, which needs to be easily digested, and the proportion of concentrate in ingredients should be larger; The nutritional level of young rabbits is low, with roughage as the main feed and less concentrate; Pregnant rabbits and lactating rabbits should have more concentrate to supplement the nutrition in the body and ensure the normal development and milk secretion of the fetus; Generally, raising rabbits is mainly based on coarse materials, and attention should be paid to adding some protein. At the same time, a variety of feeds should be fed together to enhance the appetite of rabbits and promote their growth and development.

Pay attention to feed hygiene. Don't feed moldy materials every time. Grass that contains dew or is wet by rain in summer should be dried before feeding. If there is mud, wash it with clear water and dry it before feeding it. It is forbidden to feed it with mud.

Diet should be adjusted. Feeding must be regular and quantitative. Young rabbits are fed five times a day, pregnant and lactating mothers four times a day and young rabbits three times a day. In winter, the nights are long and the days are short. Feed breakfast early and dinner late. Feed less when it is hot at noon in summer, and feed more when it is cold in the morning and evening.

Change the straw slowly. With the change of seasons, the feed should also change gradually. Green feed is mixed with dry green feed for a period of time. You can't feed green feed today, and feed dry green feed tomorrow. Be careful not to feed only concentrate to avoid indigestion and gastrointestinal diseases.

Let rabbits get into the habit of drinking water. After feeding the rabbit, it is important to continue to feed it with water and make it a habit. Drink warm water in winter, cold water in summer, and add some salt to the water.

Feeding skills of young rabbits 1. Feeding management of young rabbits during sleep

1. Feeding: Young rabbits grow and develop rapidly during sleep and should be given enough milk as far as possible. In particular, the colostrum secreted by the mother rabbit 1 ~ 2 days after delivery is rich in nutrition and has a laxative effect, which is conducive to promoting the growth and development of the young rabbit and discharging meconium.

The metabolism of young rabbits is very vigorous, most of the milk eaten is digested and absorbed, and few feces are excreted. Therefore, the normal growth and development of sleeping rabbits can be guaranteed as long as they eat enough milk and sleep well.

2. Management: Practice shows that the survival rate of young rabbits during sleep is closely related to feeding management measures:

(1) Do a good job in cultivating young rabbits: In production practice, some female rabbits often have more babies, while others have fewer babies. So the regulation and foster care of young rabbits must be done well. Generally, normal lactating female rabbits can feed 6 ~ 8 young rabbits. The foster care method is: young rabbits with similar birth dates are taken out of the nest box and fostered according to their size and physical strength.

(2) Forced breastfeeding: Some female rabbits are not very protective, especially newborn rabbits. If they refuse to breastfeed after giving birth, they will die without timely treatment. Forced breastfeeding is to fix the mother rabbit in a nest box, then put the young rabbit next to the mother rabbit's nipple and let it suck freely, 1 ~ 2 times a day. After 3 ~ 5 days in a row, most denominator rabbits will automatically breastfeed.

(3) Artificial breastfeeding: If the mother rabbit dies, has no milk, suffers from mastitis after birth and cannot breastfeed or has no suitable mother rabbit for foster care, artificial breastfeeding can be used. Artificial breastfeeding can be replaced by milk, goat milk or condensed milk. Use a syringe when feeding and let it suck freely.

(4) Suitable temperature: the temperature of rabbit incubator should be kept at 65438 05℃ ~ 20℃.

(5) Prevention of rodent damage: Rabbit cages and rabbit nests should be tightly closed to prevent rats from entering. If the cage and the nest hole cannot be covered, the nest boxes can be numbered uniformly, protected centrally at night, put back into the original cage during the day, and breastfed regularly.

Second, the feeding and management of young rabbits in the first eye opening period

Young rabbits have to go through the stages of nesting, feeding and weaning after opening their eyes, which is the second critical period for raising young rabbits.

1. Feeding: Young rabbits grow and develop rapidly after opening their eyes, but the breast milk has begun to decrease, which cannot meet the nutritional needs of young rabbits. So we must do a good job of feeding as soon as possible. The production practice shows that young rabbits usually go out to look for food when they are 15 days old, and then they can start feeding, and they should be fed with a small amount of nutritious and digestible feed, such as soybean milk, bean dregs or chopped young grass and leaves. After 20 days of age, appropriate amount of grain, bran, corn flour and a small amount of charcoal powder, vitamins, inorganic salts, garlic, onions, etc. Can be use for strengthening that physique of young rabbit and reducing diseases.

4. Management:

First, young rabbits have small stomachs and weak digestive ability, but they grow and develop rapidly. When they start feeding, they should be fed less often, preferably 5-6 times a day. After 30 days of age, you can gradually switch to food and get ready before weaning.

Secondly, it is best to separate the young rabbits from the mother rabbits after eating, and breastfeed/kloc-0 times a day, so that the young rabbits can eat evenly and rest quietly, so as to reduce the chance of contacting the feces of the mother rabbits and prevent coccidiosis.

Third, young rabbits are generally weaned at the age of 28 ~ 30 days. When weaning, we should take the method of leaving milk and cage, try to keep the feed, environment and management unchanged and prevent all kinds of adverse stress reactions.

Fourth, the young rabbits began to eat soft stools after eating. According to the practical experience of rabbit production, young rabbits with high water content should not be overfeed, otherwise it will easily lead to diarrhea, bloating and death.
