A Brief Introduction of Lao Tongchang's Lao Tongchang
1939, the second shopkeeper of Tongchang Tea House, Ma, made a joint venture with Zhao Ziqing, Niu Langang, and the counterfeit currency of 10000 yuan was decoupled from Kaifeng Head Office, and the old Tongchang Tea House officially opened. At the same time, we have established our own tea base, mainly based on Zhejiang spring tea and Wenzhou jasmine tea. Tea enjoys a growing reputation in Xuzhou tea industry because of its good taste, rich aroma, complete varieties, genuine goods and excellent service.

As a result, the old Tongchang teahouse market is optimistic, which promotes the prosperity of Xuzhou teahouse industry. At that time, Xuzhou teahouses were mostly concentrated on the north and south banks of the Yellow River in Bazi Street and in the urban area, with a total of 34 teahouses. Among them, the old east gate is still the most famous. After entering the 1940s, there were at least 14 large teahouses in Xuzhou. Among them, Yang Tianci Teahouse in Bazi Street and Betty's Liu Dongke Teahouse are very famous. Later, the two teahouses got married and became the largest teahouse on the north bank of the Yellow River. In the early 1950s, there were Jincheng Teahouse, Taishan Teahouse, Yuyao Teahouse and Yunlong Teahouse in Xuzhou. These teahouses all choose the tea business of Laotongchang Teahouse. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, there were few teahouses in the city. It was not until 1994 that Laotongchang Tea House took the lead in opening a tea house and set up a tea performance team to perform Longjing Tea Road. Since then, Xuzhou teahouse has begun to recover. 1998, there were 14 teahouses in Xuzhou, which increased sharply to 44 the following year and more than 200 since 2000. In order to ensure the quality of tea and reassure tea drinkers, most teahouses are purchased from Laotongchang Tea House.

Among them, it is worth mentioning that from 2002 to 2004, oolong tea grew by 8% every year. Xuzhou citizens have realized the noble quality of rock tea and Tieguanyin, which is a very gratifying momentum of tea culture.
