; Mining engineering specialty is set in 1956, which is one of the earliest specialties in our school. After half a century's construction, this major has become one of the largest and most powerful majors in cultivating mineral resources development and utilization in northwest China. In 2005, this major was rated as the first batch of brand majors at the autonomous region level by the Education Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 2007, it was rated as a key discipline in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by the Ministry of Education, and was rated as a national specialty by the Ministry of Education in early 2008. This major aims to cultivate engineering implementation-oriented talents who can meet the needs of socialist modernization, develop morally, intellectually and physically in an all-round way, master the basic theory and knowledge of mining engineering, obtain basic training for engineers and have innovative spirit. So far, this major has trained a large number of senior engineering and technical personnel for China's metallurgical, coal, chemical and other mining enterprises. Especially in recent years, the employment rate of graduates of this major has reached 100%, which is in short supply.
The main courses of this major are: geology, surveying, rock mechanics, blasting engineering, open-pit mining, underground mining, operational research and system engineering, mine ventilation and safety, mine map, mine transportation and hoisting, controlled blasting technology, mine ground pressure and slope engineering, mine technical economics, mining right and its evaluation, mine enterprise management, mine environmental protection, etc.
After graduation, students can engage in mineral resources development, mining area planning, mine (open and underground) design, mine safety technology engineering design, mine production technology management, scientific research and teaching of mineral resources engineering, etc.
This major has the right to award master's degree and master's degree in mining engineering. To tell the truth, it is difficult for you to report your grades to this major, but if you really want to study this major, you can adopt the strategy of "saving the country by curve", that is, you go to HKUST and then change your major. It is relatively easy for our school to change majors. I just changed my major in June this year. . I hope these are useful to you.
