Center has passed 1990 provincial metrological certification, 199 1 national metrological certification, and 200 1 national accreditation of China Laboratory. After years of development, "Center" has now become a third-party testing and calibration laboratory and a first-class inspection institution that has passed the national qualification certification (CMA) and national accreditation (CNAS), and can provide the society with probative testing data and results. The management system of "Center" meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020, so it also operates according to ISO 900 1. According to the mutual recognition agreement between China National Accreditation Committee for Conformity Assessment and the accreditation bodies of the United States, the European Union, Japan and other countries and regions, the data and results issued by the center can be internationally recognized.

The center is a national-level scientific and technological achievements testing and appraisal institution authorized by the State Science and Technology Commission and the State Bureau of Technical Supervision, a postdoctoral mobile station research base of Sun Yat-sen University, an air transport condition appraisal institution of goods approved by scaa, a statutory radiation dose measurement and verification institution authorized by the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and a judicial appraisal institution approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice.

The center is the supporting unit of Guangdong Key Laboratory of Chemical Hazard Emergency Detection Technology, Guangdong Physical and Chemical Performance Testing and Evaluation Center, Guangdong Analytical Testing Technology Corporation and Guangdong Chemical Accident Emergency Detection Technology Research Center, and the affiliated unit of Guangdong Analytical Testing Association, Guangdong Nuclear Society, Pan-Pearl River Delta and Guangdong Large-scale Scientific Instrument Cooperation Network Management Committee Office.

Co-sponsored by China Association for Analysis and Testing, the Center is responsible for editing and publishing Journal of China Association for Analysis and Testing and Journal of Analysis and Testing, the core periodical of Chinese science and technology.

Over the years, the center has provided a large number of high-quality analytical and testing technical services for production, scientific research, trade, government management, litigation, technology introduction, business arbitration and other activities, and provided strong analytical and testing technical support for scientific and technological innovation of enterprises, making outstanding contributions to China's economic and social development. The State Council, Guangdong Provincial People's Government awarded the honorary title of national and Guangdong advanced collective.

The center actively undertakes scientific research projects entrusted by national and local governments, enterprises and institutions. Over the past 50 years, more than 100 important scientific research achievements have been made in applied technology research, analysis and testing of new methods and technologies, research and development of instruments and meters, among which more than 50 have won scientific and technological achievement awards at or above the provincial level, and more than 1000 papers and monographs have been published.

The "Center" is a continuing education base in Guangdong Province, which holds various training courses on analytical testing technology, combines teaching with practice, and cultivates analytical testing professionals for all walks of life.
