How do enterprises recruit and train sales staff?
Recently, I heard that hr leaders in many companies are complaining that they can't recruit sales staff! Indeed, in my impression, although the enterprises that set up stalls in the talent market have recruited a large number of business personnel, there are always few applicants. Are the recruitment conditions too high? However, after understanding, I found that the conditions for recruiting sales staff in most enterprises are not high, and the overall situation is relatively low, let alone any conditions. For example, we often see such recruitment posters: unlimited education, unlimited age, unlimited experience, basic salary+high commission, unlimited salary, annual salary 1 10,000 is not a dream ... this condition is low enough, but no one applied! Then, I suddenly realized that the conditions were not too high, just too low! Maybe we don't really value and respect the position of sales in our hearts, or maybe we have a contempt or disdain for sales staff in our bones. Under this kind of psychology, hr of many companies design the recruitment conditions of sales staff like a temple porridge, and everyone comes, the more the better. In their view, the sales position is the rice bowl given by the company to the weak, and there are a lot of people waiting for this rice bowl outside. Even in the same company, people in technical or clerical positions have a sense of superiority to a greater or lesser extent, and a bad subconscious gradually forms in people's minds: all salespeople are inferior. We often hear some newly graduated students sigh in frustration: It's really no good, let's apply for sales! Listen to this, it seems that there is no worse job than sales. Doing sales has become synonymous with incompetence and despair, and sales has become a person's career bottom line. No wonder selling in China is not a noble, decent and boastful occupation. When friends or classmates get together, anyone who pulls out a business card and says he is a salesman looks a little unnatural, like a thief. What will happen under this recruitment system? On the one hand, due to the low entry threshold, the basic salary of most salespeople is very low (many salespeople don't even have a basic salary), so they can't maintain their normal livelihood. If they want to live a good life, they can only rely on high performance commission. Therefore, salespeople must try their best to sell goods, no matter whether they are good or bad. As long as the customer pays the bill, he can get the commission, and everything will be easy. On the other hand, due to the low recruitment conditions, uneven sales staff, the boss's endless squeezing of the surplus value of sales staff, sales training justifiably carried out various brainwashing, and even various excuses for fraud training. The sales training of many Chinese enterprises strongly advocates that salespeople fool customers, and even crazily advocates that whoever fools big customers or big orders is a hero and accepts the worship of others. In this case, experts in management training are also emerging one after another. As the saying goes: no rape, no business. This sentence can be said to hit the nail on the head for those unscrupulous enterprises and salespeople. So they know how to respect and treat salespeople well. In many European and American companies, only those with the highest comprehensive quality, the highest education and the best English are qualified to do sales, and the basic salary of sales staff must be much higher than that of ordinary clerks or technical posts. Because of this, sales in European and American companies is a respectable, noble and boastful profession. When my wife resigned in 2002, she was already the department head of a large provincial enterprise in Taiwan Province. After coming to this city, she asked me: What kind of job are you looking for? I said seriously: it is hard to find a good job now, so go to sales! Although my wife thought it was not good to do sales, she didn't look for a job before, and she was a little lacking in confidence, so she really applied for the sales of an American-funded company. After coming back, she told me excitedly that this interview completely subverted her understanding of sales. She got the knowledge of English and geography first, and then the boss interviewed her personally. Her attitude is very friendly and cordial. In particular, she learned that the company's salespeople have the best academic qualifications and English, the highest salary, and decent office environment and conditions. She began to worry about whether she was competent or not, and eagerly expected to be one of them. Now, my wife has worked in this company for six years, and I have learned something about European and American companies from her. In particular, I know that European and American companies will never encourage people to fool and deceive customers in sales training, and will not even advocate the use of too smart sales staff. They will always advocate industrious, enthusiastic and honest business, instead of desperately selling goods, and they will win the hearts of customers with sincere service. Obviously, this is ... comparing the sales situation of China companies and foreign companies in Europe and America, I think that the correct business values, advanced sales concepts and humanized sales management make European and American companies always win in the global business competition. Although some European and American companies are cited as examples to advocate Chinese-style sales management in China, they are short-sighted and will eventually dig their own graves. If China enterprises want to gain real respect in the world, they should not only catch up with advanced countries in products and technology, but also learn more from European and American enterprises in sales and services. Some management masters have long said: employees are the company's first customers, and how the company treats employees will treat customers. The same is true for salespeople. Salespeople will treat customers as companies treat customers. Back to the topic, let me sum up one more sentence: when can our company recruit sales staff, like the general manager, show a heartfelt respect and attach great importance to the company's long-term development strategy? When can our salespeople feel that they are engaged in a noble, decent and boastful career, our salespeople will no longer be difficult to recruit and our sales performance will be easy to do!
