The Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Fujian Medical University was founded on the basis of the Department of Stomatology of Fujian Medical College established by 1984, and its predecessor was the outpatient department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Fujian Medical College established by 1986. 1997 opened in February, and has become a three-level first-class specialized hospital integrating stomatology, teaching, scientific research and prevention.

The hospital has continuously made new progress in stomatological research. In recent years, the hospital has won a number of national, provincial, ministerial and municipal scientific research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation project and major scientific research projects in Fujian Province, and won 3 second and 2 third prizes of provincial science and technology awards, 3 scientific and technological progress awards of provincial health department, provincial youth science and technology awards and provincial Yun Sheng youth science and technology awards.

The hospital has a strong professional and technical force, with 430 medical staff, and 78% of clinicians have doctoral and master's degrees.
