The first is to further enhance the understanding of the role and status of the spokesperson.
A spokesperson is a public relations person who speaks on behalf of other natural persons or legal persons (such as companies, governments or other institutions), publicizes the situation to reporters and answers questions.
Why do you want to set up a spokesperson? In the face of overwhelming information, if there is no authoritative information source, messy information can easily disturb people's minds. The implementation of the news spokesman system is conducive to the public to see authoritative remarks and avoid the influence of gossip on the public's correct judgment.
The press spokesman is a system, one of the ways to effectively fulfill the public's right to know, and an important bridge to communicate with the media, the public and government departments.
In my opinion, the original intention of our government to establish a news spokesperson system, carry out news spokesperson training and train professional news spokespersons is to strengthen the communication between power and the public, and spokespersons should face the society with their backs to the public, disclose government information and form interaction. The law of information disclosure stipulates the obligations of the government, and the spokesperson is the legal intermediary to actively realize this vision. Their real value lies in coordinating the relationship between the government, the media and the public, and on this basis, guiding public opinion as much as possible.
Second, learn to think hard.
During the week-long training, we listened to eight special lectures, such as Economic and Social Transformation and the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Practice of Government Spokesman, Guidance of Public Opinion in Social Transformation, Journalists and Supervision of Public Opinion, and participated in the behavior training of media communication scenario simulation, and experienced the feeling of a spokesperson.
Through the explanations of these experienced professors and scholars, I deeply feel that not only my knowledge has been greatly expanded, but more importantly, I can fully and deeply understand and feel how to face the media and the public as a qualified spokesperson. How to make rational use of the power given to you by the government to release news, strengthen media communication and improve the public opinion environment?
Third, learning must be used for me.
From the current public opinion environment, we can easily see that if the "trust crisis" of the masses to the government is amplified, it will directly endanger the ruling foundation, and grassroots cadres should establish a solid trust foundation with the masses and win the hearts of the ruling party. People's Daily, an official newspaper in China, recently published a commentary saying that the mass incidents in recent years have similar characteristics: a single incident involving only relevant departments has developed into a group confrontation involving parties and non-stakeholders, and the inducement behind it is often the lack of trust of the masses in the local government and its staff. The article also points out that the ruling ability and status of a ruling party fundamentally come from the people, and only by building the cornerstone of trust in the relationship between cadres and the masses can we benefit the people and win the hearts of political parties.
This time, the leaders of the district Committee and government gave us such a good opportunity. The propaganda department of the district committee organized the first phase of training for district spokespersons, which is not only an opportunity to increase knowledge and enrich knowledge, but also an opportunity to enhance ability and strengthen quality. Personally, I think that through this systematic study and training, we must improve our abilities in at least three aspects, so as not to live up to the expectations of the party and the government for the first batch of journalists to train students, and not to live up to the doubts of experts and scholars on our teaching. To lay a solid foundation for better coping with the crisis of public opinion and solving the crisis of trust.
The first is the ability to deal with emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
Judging from the analysis of public opinion events such as the 7.23 bullet train accident, as spokesmen or government officials, we must be keenly aware of the possible consequences of such emergencies and the possible negative impact on the public in the process of media reporting and response. Only on the basis of in-depth study and analysis can we be fully prepared and calm.
The second is comprehensive information collection and control capabilities.
As the saying goes, a clever woman can't cook without rice. As a news spokesman, what the audience wants to know and see most is the truth of the incident when they hold a press conference after a major accident or emergency. No matter how many facts there are, they should be as accurate, official and authoritative as possible. Before holding a press conference, we must make full preparations for information collection. The information released and communicated to the public should be objective, accurate in data and true in content. Only in this way can the audience feel your sincerity and the efforts and concern of the government you represent in this incident.
The third is to coordinate the use of the communication ability of the media.
Personally, publishing true and objective information is only the basic skill of a spokesperson. In order to win the public's understanding, understanding and support through the release of information, the attitude of a spokesperson is far more important than the facts, especially when the spokesperson cannot provide enough facts or announce all the facts in time. Be sincere, be true. Your voice, behavior and posture at the press conference and in the face of media interviews will directly affect the evaluation of media reporters and other audiences, thus indirectly affecting the evaluation of the departments and institutions you represent.
Through my study, I really feel that as a news spokesman, I should not only dare to speak, but also be good at speaking. The key is to be true and sincere from the heart, and try to say good things and bad things well, which requires skill and temper.
The Global Times once had such an editorial, which I think is worth pondering by every government official, especially the spokesman: "It is foreseeable that more and more relevant government departments and institutions will be involved in public crisis, and their clumsiness in front of public opinion will continue to emerge. These clumsiness will tarnish China's image and consume China's political resources. Therefore, this issue should be highly valued by China officials. " What we are facing is the modern society of information explosion, and the media is increasingly affecting people's cognition of the world. This means that as a spokesperson, dealing with emergencies and dealing with the media will become more normal. Whether the incident is handled and expressed properly directly affects the prestige of the government. In a sense, we are not only the spokesman of the government, but also a powerful defender of the government's credibility. We have a great responsibility, and we should also improve the ability and level of coordinating and using the media through our own efforts, regard every news release as the front position to guide public opinion, and strive to make our media reporters become "supporters" and particularly reliable "information disseminators" at the press conference.
