Reflections on the import of second-hand equipment;

Firstly, determine the customs code (HS) of the equipment to confirm whether the import is allowed or not, and whether the import electromechanical certificate is involved.

Then determine whether pre-shipment inspection and quarantine is needed or exempted. For example, most old molds are free of assembly inspection.

Confirm whether the foreign nameplate is in good condition and whether there is information such as model and production year.

If the old mechanical and electrical department allows the import, this old equipment will be directly abandoned.

If it is free, it is allowed to be imported and shipped directly.

If inspection and quarantine before shipment is needed, it should be done before import. At present, the domestic pre-shipment inspection and quarantine is operated by China Inspection Company, so it is suggested to find their branch office nearby.

Import involving mechanical and electrical certificates must be handled after inspection and quarantine before shipment, and those that are free of loading can be handled directly during transportation.
