How to be an excellent lecturer
Since the training market became "hot", many consultants have come to eat this cake and even turned to full-time training lecturers. I have a friend who used to be a human resources consultant and recently switched to training. Some problems encountered in the training made him very confused: "The contents of my training for enterprises are very practical, and many of them are the conclusions I have drawn after investigating their enterprises, which should be very helpful to them. But when I was training them, the atmosphere at the scene was very dull. I'm the only one who speaks. How can I mobilize their enthusiasm? " For many consultants, this is really a problem. Actually, being a consultant is different from being a training lecturer. If you position yourself from two angles, you can find the difference. One angle is that experts in a certain field are very different from outstanding talents in a certain field. Experts not only have strong practical ability, but also can grasp the essence, while excellent talents only have strong practical ability or only understand theory. The other angle is the guide and the instructor, and the difference between them is also great. The instructor only gives the answer when the other party needs it, so that the other party can participate in the process, while the instructor only tells the other party what is right and wrong, and the other party does not participate. Therefore, we combine the role orientation of four lecturers. The first kind of lecturer is an excellent person who has mastered the basic knowledge and theory and is also a teacher. Such a person will tell the students what he knows about the "master" theory and his previous practical operation when he talks about the course, so that the students know that management and marketing are like this. In the training market, such lecturers are mainly professors in colleges and universities and doers in enterprises. When they are training, they seldom communicate with the students, mainly sitting on the stage to instill in them. How much you learn depends on the students' own understanding. Generally speaking, enterprises have just started training, and the training targets lack systematicness, theoretical basis and understanding of well-known enterprises. Such lecturers are needed to instill some basic concepts and talk about the operation methods of some well-known enterprises. The second kind of lecturer is an outstanding person who has mastered the knowledge and theory, and at the same time has good teaching skills guidance. On the podium, they will find the students' problems in a guiding way, let the students talk about their own problems, and then the lecturer will give the master's theory, so that this theory can conform to the students' reality as much as possible. This kind of lecturers are mainly young scholars, accounting for the majority in the training market. This kind of lecturer can make the classroom atmosphere very good and stimulate students to communicate with each other, but he is not an expert in this field and has no innovative thinking. Ordinary students feel that they have learned a lot, and excellent students may feel that they lack depth. The third kind of lecturer is an expert in course content, but not technically. He just instilled some wonderful theories and ideas in class and taught students that this should be the case, not that. Such lecturers are mainly experts in consulting companies. They really have good things and are well informed, but because of technology, they can't pour them out. Or what they pour out, students are not very satisfied, students will think this person is an expert, but it seems that a lot of content is not what I need, and I didn't participate. There are still regrets. If an enterprise wants to give lectures on a certain knowledge, it can invite such people to broaden their horizons and strengthen their understanding of a certain aspect. Generally speaking, this kind of lecturer is more suitable for giving lectures to high-level enterprises with high understanding. The fourth kind of lecturer is not only an expert in course content, but also has good guidance skills. They guide students in class, help them sum up, and let them ask targeted questions and give answers. And these contents and answers will make students feel highly, really learn what they want and help students solve problems. For excellent students with high understanding, they can gain a lot, but for ordinary students, this way makes them at a loss, because they don't have their own ideas and can't ask questions, which affects their learning efficiency. They will say, "Teacher, don't mind what we do. You talk about yours and we can take notes. " The four targeted lecturers all have their own target customer groups, and they all have the value of existence. Enterprises should first judge their own status and the level of students, and then decide what kind of lecturer to choose for training.
