First, the present situation of Chinese wrestling in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education
(1) National and school leaders have not paid enough attention to it.
64% students think that the state and school leaders have not paid enough attention to it, which means that most students think that the state and leaders have not paid enough attention to the construction of Chinese wrestling discipline. Chinese wrestling is a civilized and elegant sport. In the "cold" period when the prospect of Chinese wrestling is not good, some colleges and universities have opened up the development garden of Chinese wrestling, which has revived this ancient sport. However, with the implementation of the Olympic strategy, Chinese wrestling was cancelled at the Seventh National Games, which had a negative impact on the survival and development of Chinese wrestling. Because it is not the National Games, most provinces and cities have cut off Chinese wrestling professional teams, and the people have developed themselves, which has greatly hindered the construction and development of Chinese wrestling discipline, which everyone who loves Chinese wrestling does not want to see.
(2) The quality of enrollment is unstable. In the enrollment process of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, through the dialogue with teachers, I learned that the quality of Chinese wrestling students is unstable and the technical level is generally low. There are three main reasons for this situation: first, the employment prospects of Chinese wrestlers are low, so there will be corresponding documents in the enrollment plan of sports colleges to reduce the number of students enrolled in this major, which will directly or indirectly affect the number of applicants; Secondly, Chinese wrestling, as a non-Olympic event, has relatively little funds to set up activities and fewer young athletes to participate in them; Thirdly, there are very few universities offering Chinese wrestling higher education in China. If the enrollment of this major is small, many Chinese wrestlers choose to give up or switch to other projects, which indirectly affects the quality of students.
Second, Wuhan Institute of Physical Education Chinese wrestling discipline construction countermeasures
(1) Increase policy support.
Today, Chinese wrestling has been restored to the National Games of the People's Republic of China, and the Chinese Wrestling Management Committee has also formulated a "fifteen-year development plan" for it, and cooperated with sports associations to promote more students to participate in Chinese wrestling education. This will strongly promote the popularization and improvement of Chinese wrestling in colleges and universities. It is hoped that the government and schools will increase investment in Chinese wrestling, strive to improve unfavorable educational facilities and create a good educational environment for teachers and students.
(2) Improve the teaching staff.
Chinese wrestling teachers show the problem of low academic qualifications. In China, there are few training courses and teaching points for Chinese wrestling masters, and athletes who have been engaged in Chinese wrestling training for a long time have hardly received professional education, which leads to the phenomenon of low learning ability. At present, many Chinese wrestling teachers are transferred from other majors, which greatly reduces the teaching quality due to the limitation of majors. Therefore, it is necessary for the leaders of sports colleges to regularly train Chinese wrestling teachers, encourage young teachers to further study and improve their own quality, academic qualifications and professional knowledge to meet the needs of Chinese wrestling education.
