The school was formerly known as Shiyan Vocational and Technical Education Center and Shiyan Vocational Secondary School.1In March 1999, it was renamed as "Shiyan Computer Technology School" with the approval of relevant provincial and municipal departments, becoming the only computer secondary school in Hubei Province.
