In reading, children in grade three can read independently and read big books of pure literature. At this stage, children must not be deprived of reading time because of too much homework. You know, children's reading and thinking abilities are basically developed during this period. It is best to ensure that you can read one or two extracurricular books every week. Free reading time should not be less than 30 minutes every day.
As for the recommended extra-curricular books, taking my fourth-grade children as a reference, I now read Where is wonder woman, Weird Primary School, Childhood Away from Mom, and I used to like Laughing Cat Diary, Harry Potter and Dream of the Wolf King. When I was in Grade One and Grade Two, I especially loved reading Grimm's fairy tales and Andersen's fairy tales.
